Who Is Responsible for Your Data
INNOVATIVE ITConsulting SARL, publisher of MySmartAcademy, is responsible for the processing of the personal data collected on the site and in the application.
The Data We Collect
- Account: first name, last name, class or stream, school, email, WhatsApp number, and the contact details of a parent for a minor student.
- Learning: lessons followed, quizzes, progress, questions and photos sent to Tashantoo, answers received.
- Purchases: packs bought, credits used, recharge codes. The payment details are handled by the payment providers, not by MySmartAcademy.
- Visits: pages seen, approximate city and country, device, to improve the site.
Why We Use Them
- To open and manage the account, the credits and the unlocked courses.
- To answer the questions of the student with Tashantoo and to follow the progress.
- To help the student and the parents (WhatsApp, email), and to send the useful information about the account.
- To secure the service and to prevent fraud.
We never sell your data.
Who Receives Them
- The team of MySmartAcademy and the teachers who check some answers.
- The artificial intelligence providers that write and check the answers of Tashantoo (OpenAI and Anthropic): they receive the question, its photos, and the first name and class of the student to adapt the answer, never the last name or the contact details.
- Our technical providers: hosting, video delivery (Bunny.net), payment, messages.
Some of these providers are located outside Cameroon.
How Long We Keep Them
The data of an account are kept while the account is used, then up to three years after the last activity, except what the law requires to keep longer (invoices).
Your Rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to their use, by writing to info@mysmartacademy.com. For a minor student, the parent can make the request.
