1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the MySmartAcademy site and application, published by INNOVATIVE ITConsulting SARL, and the purchase of credit packs. Opening an account or buying a pack means accepting them.
2. The Account
- The account is personal to one student. Its login and password must not be shared.
- For a minor student, the account is opened with the agreement of a parent or guardian, whose contact details are asked during the registration.
- The information given (name, class, contact details) must be accurate and kept up to date.
3. Credits and Packs
- Everything is paid with credits, bought in packs online or with a recharge code sold by our partners. The packs, their price in CFA francs and their validity are shown on the pricing page before the purchase.
- The first lessons of each course are free. Unlocking a course costs credits once; the course then stays open for the period shown on the pricing page (12 months by default).
- Each request to Tashantoo costs the credits shown on the pricing page; a request that cannot receive an answer gives its credits back.
- Credits are personal: they cannot be transferred to another account, exchanged for money or refunded once used, except where the law requires it. Unused credits expire at the end of the validity of their pack.
- A recharge code can be used only once. Repeated wrong attempts block the entry of codes for a while.
4. Payment
Online payments are processed by approved payment providers (mobile money, bank card depending on the methods shown at the payment). MySmartAcademy never stores card numbers or mobile money codes. The credits are added to the account as soon as the payment is confirmed.
5. Tashantoo, the AI Tutor
Tashantoo answers with artificial intelligence, checked by a second model and, when needed, by a teacher. Its answers help the student to understand and to practise; they may contain errors and do not replace the teacher or the official instructions of the exams. The student remains responsible for the work handed in at school.
6. Fair Use
- The content is for the personal learning of the student: copying, recording, sharing or selling it is forbidden.
- Sending insulting, illegal or unrelated content to Tashantoo or to the teachers is forbidden.
- Any fraud (shared account, misused codes, attempts to get around the access) may lead to the suspension of the account, without refund of the credits used.
7. Availability of the Service
MySmartAcademy works to keep the service available at any time but may interrupt it for maintenance or in case of a technical problem. The progress of the student is kept.
8. Changes and Applicable Law
These terms may change; the version in force is the one published on this page. They are governed by the law of Cameroon. In case of dispute, a friendly solution is looked for first; otherwise the courts of Douala have jurisdiction.
